I ask myself sometimes what events create the most profound changes in my life. There are many answers to this question. I know for sure that one of them concerns the people I meet. The impact of a meeting with a person or a group of people regularly widens my horizon and permits me to look at the world through someone else’s field of vision. There is beauty in accepting to look at life with a new approach: it is like opening a window we hadn’t noticed before. The angle of our point of view becomes wider and permits possibilities not taken into account earlier. We love to discover, to feel dynamic about innovative actions and choices.
During my stay in Melbourne over the long weekend I participating at the MBS festival there I met a group of healers from Japan in the Tamara Healing Workshop ( http://www.tamara-healing-assoc.com/) . I received initiation from Meiko and am now also a Tamara Healer. The healing principle is similar to the one of Reiki, but simpler and for having tested it I know that it is at least as efficient as the Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki I have practised since 1998. I have also had the pleasure to meet Tamara herself, the founder of the Association, a remarkable lady indeed. It is most likely that I will accompany the other Tamara Healers to Nepal in December. The idea is: spread the work, the healing, the passion, the belief in a better life with less pain. This philosophy is very much my own, as you all know, and my worldwide dream with work is coming slowly together! Isn’t it just wonderful how bits and pieces fit in with each other when we just go about our business as usual? “Things happen when you least expect them” is a statement I have heard so many times. Now the unexpected initiation into a new healing method offered to me under amazing circumstances has definitely proven it to me, too.
Learning is discovering and quite often we learn by copying and by practising our new skills with others. Learning is also daring and trusting oneself. It was quite empowering for me to hear a friend say “my back is not so sore anymore”. Something surely happens when we go out with the intention to heal, to help, to give.
As for our STORY in this Newsletter, I have thought of the never ending theme about Love. We all own love, we all want it, we all want to have more of it and we all struggle endlessly with it: its meaning, its whereabouts, its purpose and description. I found the following text by searching for a meaningful text to share with you and I liked it. I hope you do, too!
A Cry for Help
Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, and all of the others, including Love.
One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left.
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment.
When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No I can't.There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place for you here."
Love decided to ask Vanity, who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel, "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness let me go with you." "Oh...Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"
Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her!
Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the elder her name.
When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Love, realizing how much he owed the elder, asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is.
